Gel Grips
Can someone explain about insoles, heel grips, gel pads etc?
I have a pair of shoes that are quite wide but the size smaller was too small. When i walk my heel slips out of the back a little. I've tried a FULL insole but it didn't help much.
Can anyone explain what insole, heel grip i should use? I am confused about whether I should use a back heel grip or an insole at the front of my foot (balls of my foot)

Based on your description it sounds like you have a narrow heel and a wide front of the foot (I have this problem as well).
It sounds like you may need to have an insole to cover the entire foot in particular the front of the foot but custom made to your foot like orthotic inserts. Orthotic inserts are specially designed based on the pattern of your foot either thru a casting impression or a computerized gait scan (some of this is offered at places like Foot Solutions too). When it takes a scan of your feet it lets the healthcare professional know what areas need to be corrected and then the healthcare professional makes out a prescription with the necessary corrections.
A heel grip is designed to try and help the heel like as in a lift if someone has a shortened leg (I have a shortened leg).
Gel pads are a type of insole that is kind of similar to an orthotic insert but adds more comfort on a cheaper level to try and relieve things like back pain in the lower back.
I would recommend consulting with a podiatrist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases, disorders, and biomechanical-study of the way the foot and leg moves-problems and conditions) as well to see what they say.
